Where's the Balls Deep love these days? No pics/update from the TK road trip...haven't heard from Arens clan...J-Hole crew is silent, you guys busy planning a wedding or something? The Balz?? Riss?? The Belgian Biker?? (actually pierre are you even Belgian?)
Recently this blog has become the Keating/Green show.

1-3" forecasted today with an inch down so far and snowing pretty good. Balz, Keating...hoping you guys got your eyes on next weekend time frame. Models are scarily consistent on a monster nor'easter rolling up the coast. Can't get excited yet but fingers are crossed it doesn't turn into a storm that cuts up to the Great Lakes. Stay tuned!

Spent the days around NYE on skatey skinny skis up at Trapp Family Lodge and loved it! While I was really liking the skating on groomed trails, I might try and break out my old edged and waxless Karhus for the 16K ungroomed trail that links Trapp's and Bolton later this winter.

Bonus: I have a product review in the works that hopefully I'll get to and post sometime soon.

So got some serious fluff snow today...this was posted by burlington's noaa office regarding the snow that fell today in VT:
TOTAL LIQUID EQUIVELENT BASED ON MELTING OF WHAT IS IN THE 8 INCH GAGE HAS ONLY BEEN 0.04 DURING THE PERIOD...YIELDING A SNOW RATIO IN EXCESS OF 80:1. VISUAL INSPECTION CONFIRMS THE LOW DENSITY NATURE OF THE SNOW WITH LARGE "FLUFF FACTOR".

Shit 80:1 is 1.25% water by weight...suck on that Alta!! ;) Got 4" of this stuff at my house today and still going lightly...hoping to eek out another 1-2 if lucky.

High pressure system keeping things very cold and dry in the Tetons right now. Wish I had something better to report, but I'm confident things will turn around. Sad week for JH with an iconic patroller dying from complications from an avalanche burial while doing reduction work inbounds in Cheyenne Bowl last Wednesday. Everyone please play safe out there!
