Down and Out in Colorado

Going on week four of bacterial/viral infections. Being a first year teacher is awesome! Finally have some new snow moving into Colorado after a 2-week drought, and I'm too sick to enjoy it! Need to get some training in prior to the BC trip with Bals, Seth, Erica, and Hils b/c of the sheer vert we'll be climbing. Till March....

this is from Mad River's web page this morning. Currently taking it in the nuts here in VT.

"The ungroomed terrain's base is excellent but "firm", and offers outstanding "character building" skiing."

Keating, oh yeah, it's on like donkey-kong this weekend. Finally a storm that actually sticks to the Ohio River Valley-NYC storm track.
TK if there is one good thing about teaching in New England, it's that when a big storm rolls in, schools are all canceled.

no doubt, it takes damn near 3 feet to cancel our school!

currently sitting at home nursing three separated ribs and several fractures of the same said ribs. I won't labor you with the details, but suffice it to say that the injury was sustained while teaching my 5 year old niece how to ski...sick, i know.

Mad River's calling for 18-30 inches. Bals, if you don't get any of this storm either, give me a call for some co-miseration.

I am so sorry man. I am just getting back on the skis after my month-long respite care of Natty. Hang in there!

Tim, you serious? You're just getting back from the DL due to the birthday shenanigans. Tough love man.
Finally the bc window of opportunity has re-opened in southern vt. 10" at my house this morning, took advantage of it this morning and had 1500' of fun turns in an area I'm just starting to explore. Looks like I've got one week though with some rain possibly moving in the 3rd or 4th. Let me guess...that is the day Balzbaugh is re-released to the wild. Erik, hoping to hear from you soon.

Of Course it will rain on the 4th, that's my final day of work. Yay! I hate politics.
