Skiing in Utah!
Hi guys-
So, just wanted to start getting excited wtih you all about this up-coming trip to our house in SLC. The snow has been deep, and Alta's base is almost up to 100", but the avy conditions are still pretty sketchy, so we'll have to work around that.
I would really like to know when each of you are coming in and leaving. Please provide flight numbers and arrival/departure times. Also, Tyler and I were talking the other day, and I think it would be good for everyone coming by plane to chip in and rent a 4 wheel drive car to get up the canyons. We just have the truck, which can uncomfortably seat 4-5, and then the Eurovan, which would be fine, but doesn't have 4 wheel drive. So, unless anyone is driving (is Matt or Tim?) I think it would be good to rent another vehicle.
We are in the process of redoing the room in the basement, so that should now sleep three people comfortably (and no mice now!) And then we have the sofabed in the living room, and the other bedroom upstairs. Start fighting amongst yourselves for sleeping arrangements!
Also, I think we are going to have a big old party on Saturday night, the 24th (as yours truly is turning 30 on that Monday). So, prepare yourselfs for some SLC debauchery.
Please be in touch with details of your plans. Also, can someone provide a complete list of who is coming?

But most importantly... what is the state of your septic system?
HA! Working, but we have switched to a less-thick type of toilet paper. No pooping at the house! ;c)

Flying in Wed Jan 21st @ 8:35pm Flight #1684 (Southwest). Departure Monday 26th @ 12:25 Fl#761.
Checked out SUV rentals...between $400-$500 during my time in SLC.
I see that avy conditions have been downgraded a notch...hope that continues to be the case.
Hils, do I need to bring a sleeping bag or you think I could steal one of Seth's? It would give me more space to stow beer away for the flight out. Don't worry, I like to pee outside & we can head to the supermarket for number 2's or dig a pit in your backyard.
Here is Erica and my flight info:
SOUTHWEST
Tue Jan 20 1795 Depart DENVER INTL (DEN) at 6:35 PM
Arrive in SALT LAKE CITY UT (SLC) at 8:15 PM
Sun Jan 25 905 Depart SALT LAKE CITY UT (SLC) at 9:10 PM
Arrive in DENVER INTL (DEN) at 10:35 PM
Kirk comes in a little later that night on Delta!
About the whole car rental thing.....renting a SUV is pretty pricey ~ 325 for 4 days (Wed - Sun) ... and arrivals are very staggered (Tues, Wed., Thur.) But if we all went in on it it might not be bad (you pick it up on Wed Greeny if we decide too). Tuesday night it will just be the three of us (Erica, Steve, & I). Seth can you ski Wed. right and we can take the Tacoma? Dave comes in on Wed. Balsbaugh is an unknown.... Tim, Matt, Liz, Mel, and Natkin are coming down on Thursday so that will give us another car. We could also take the bus up to Alta...NO? Or the Eurovan to a bus stop at the base of the canyon? Doesn't it have studs? Just some ideas.... Hils, We can take a cab from the airport if necessary on Tuesday as well. Not trying to sound cheap but just blew a bunch of cash in Seattle and Jackson paying for lift tickets/travel so we were trying to do this bad boy on the cheap. Of course...all food and beer will be covered by the guests!! :) + free massages.
I prefer using the outdoor septic this year...lets lessen the impact so we don't have the same issue as last year :O
FUCK!!!!!
