Looking at a good week?

Quinn...clipper tomorrow and possibilities for a decent coastal storm middle of the week. Elevations in Northern VT could have a solid base by the end of next week. Just sayin...

Seasons change, Bryce

After a beautiful and warm October, things are finally starting to change. Snow is coming in the mountains! My parents are visiting for Thanksgiving, and planning to rip the groomers in between spa sessions at Deer Valley. You might find me at the baaaar at the Stein Erickson Lodge drinking Hot Toddies.

Your skis ready yet Quinn?

Don't look now, but lots of potential you could be writing your first ski entry by this time next week buddy.
"My take is that this will be significant, through progressive, storm. The European is going bonkers with it, developing a storm strong enough for gales and heavy rains from NJ through New England with the threat of a tree snapping snow above 1500 feet in the mountains from ne Pa to New England."

First 2011 forecasts coming in

http://www.accuweather.com/blogs/anderson/story/38129/my-preliminary-winter-forecast-1.asp

Interesting to me to see he has the way northern provinces of Canada & Alaska as below to way below average...that rarely happens these days.

Classic La Nina predictions all-around thus far

If you want to get really weather geek crazy...there are two very good analysis on this page:
http://forums.accuweather.com/index.php?showtopic=14649&st=3360

Basically everybody is saying warm across the southern tier...core of the cold is centered in the Northern Rockies/Canadian Prairies region which could makes some breaks east and with it some snow, but the East Coast could be under the blow torch quite a bit, further north you go, the shorter the warm-up & the faster the recovery...time will tell, but I always love these prediction games!
